2008 Council of Europe`s Programme «Intercultural Cities»
|
Melitopol became the first Ukrainian city-participant of Council of Europe`s Programme «Intercultural Cities». Melitopol was represented in Strasbourg, Lyon and Brussels. In Melitopol there was created the first intercultural ethnographic museum in Ukraine. In 2015, Melitopol became a member of National network of Ukrainian intercultural cities (ICC-UA). |

2014 Covenant of Mayors
|
The Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy is world`s biggest urban climate and energy initiative, which brings together thousands of local and regional authorities voluntarily committed to implementing EU climate and energy objectives on their territory. The local authorities have committed to reduce CO2 emissions at least by 20%. In 2016, the city has adopted an action Plan on sustainable energy development. |

2015 Local self-government and the rule of law in Ukraine
|
Melitopol became a member of the project after competitive selection. The project is supported by the Folke Bernadotte Academy (Sweden) and the Association of small cities of Ukraine. The main directions of the project: support of local self-government in the implementation of the rule of law in the provision of public services; training; methodological assistance. |

2015-2017 Improving HIV/AIDS services for key populations in Ukraine
|
The project is implemented with the support of the U.S. Agency for international development (USAID). Thanks to the project in the urban clinics appeared rapid HIV test (15 minutes); 2 centers of primary medical and preventive care were equipped with laptops and the necessary medical forms and journals, developed at the initiative RESPOND Road map for improving the quality of care of people living with HIV in Melitopol, clearly identified goals that will eventually lead to the stabilization of the situation with the disease in the city.

2015-2020 Partnership for the development of cities |
The city became a member of the international technical assistance project "Partnership for the development of cities"/PLEDDGE, which will be implemented until December 2020 by the Federation of Canadian municipalities with financial support from the Government of Canada. The project aims at strengthening the municipal sector, the introduction of democratic governance and accelerated economic development, creation of favorable environment for development of small and medium business, support of the decentralization process and strategic planning. Products of the project will be: Marketing strategy of Melitopol; The programme of advancement of production of Melitopol on foreign markets, in the framework of which the Export profile of the city has been prepared. |

2015-2018 Facilitating the development of social infrastructure (phase I)
|
The project is funded by the government of Germany via bank kfW and aims to improve the living conditions of internally displaced people in the region. The fund choose 3 kindergartens to be insulated and 3 social building to become housing for immigrants. |

2015 Grant Assistance for Human Security Projects of the Kusanone Programme (Japan) in Ukraine
|
Ultrasonic diagnostic equipment TY-X200 (RIO 200) worth 1.9 million UAH was installed in the City hospital due to participation of the city in the Programme. |

2015-2017 GIZ Special initiative for Ukraine
|
The winners of the first program are: Centralized library system of Melitopol (the creation of five informational points of contact for immigrants), two municipal hospitals (provision of comfortable conditions of stay in the medical hospital). Work on the project of creating an inclusive playground in the Center of rehabilitation of disabled people of mixed type. There was purchased equipment to provide full operation of the Center of administrative services. After completion of the repair on the second floor in the Center of administrative services, it is planned to equip the conference hall with multimedia equipment. |

2014-2016 Robust support for energy efficiency measures in eastern Ukraine |
The project involves the optimization of heat energy consumption in the public sector by equipping three kindergartens with modern energy-efficient materials. In the framework of the project 138 street lights were changed for induction lamps. |
