OnTuesday, November 27, 2012 in Chelyabinskadelegation led by Vladimir Ovcharenko,the Director of MelitopolplantTurbokomanddeputyof theMelitopol City Council,met with the Minister of Economic Development of the Chelyabinsk regionElenaMurzina.EarlierZaporozhye and Chelyabinsk regionssigned an agreement on cooperation.The purpose of thevisit was to discussMelitopol's investmentsin the economy of Chelyabinsk region.
Atthe meeting, Vladimir Ovcharenko talked about the economic potential of Zaporozhye region and Melitopol, made a presentation of the city andhisownenterprise. The head of the economic department of Chelyabinsk region presented business opportunitiesofthe area and ensuredthe supportof theinvestmentprocess.
MelitopolMayorSergeyValterhas actively supported this meetingandtheIndustry Development Departmentstaff took active part in its preparation.Vice-Mayor Valeriy Govorkov said: "This initiative is the second one this year. The first investment project of Melitopol businessmen was supported and is already being implemented in Novosibirsk region.We understand that Melitopol business becomes stronger when we open branches in other countries, and this in turn impacts Melitopol citizens. Therefore, we support any initiative of businessmen who want to invest in other countries and we negotiate with local authorities in these countries. Two projects that are being implemented this year are indicative of this".
