Melitopol takes part in the Canadian project PRISM

According to Vice Mayor Valery Govorkov, Melitopol will participate in the Canadian project PRISM that is aimed at improving the licensing system, which is one of the main conditions for sustainable business development.

Recently, the Melitopol City Council has adopted the Development Strategy of Melitopol 2020. One of the important goals reflected in the Strategy is the creation of a favorable business climate by systematizing the licensing system in the city. The goal of the project is to prevent entrepreneurs from contacting directly the licensing authorities. Any contact of businessmen and officials when issuing permissive documents is an opportunity for corruption.

According to a Ukrainian expert on public policy in permitting services, Vitaliy Lysenko, the purpose of the program is to save money and time for the clients of the licensing system, simplification and standardization of licensing procedures by forming a single regional licensing policy, and the improvement of the efficiency of the work of regulatory authorities.
