Vice Mayor Valery Govorkov informed that 80% of the Melitopol budget for 2013 is aimed at implementing the Development Strategy-2020 that includes 61 objectives.
"Realization of almost all 61 objectives will be funded. Half of the implementation projects are already designed and their funding will start in 2013. I am encouraged by the fact that in 2013 creation of "investment areas" that will make the city "open" for investors will begin. Besides that the objective "marketing of the area" which includes different activities (development of international relations, visits to the embassies of the world, participation in the international forums and exhibitions, publications etc) will be funded. The abovementioned measures will lead to in a higher profile for the city abroad and will attractg attention of potential investors. As a citizen I am pleased that Melitopol received a subsidy of $ 17 mln from the state in order to foster its socio-economic development", - concluded Valery Govorkov.
The budget also includes funds for measures aimed at improving business climate in the city, developing of small and medium businesses etc.
