Representatives of the Executive Committee of the  Melitopol  City Council held a meeting at the Consulate General of Germany in Donetsk.

Melitopol delegation included the Deputy Mayor Valeriy Govorkov and the Chief of the Industry Development Department Alexei Zvarych. They had a disscussion with the Deputy Consul General of Germany Mr. Matthias Koch and presented Zaporozhye region, Melitopol, its features, advantages and investment opportunities.

Mr. Koch said that the city is of interest to Germany and mentioned the following areas of possible cooperation: inform businessmen in Germany about opportunities in Melitopol, make a presentation at the Bureau of Delegate of German Industry in Kiev, hold German Business Mission (B2B) in Melitopol and Zaporozhye in 2014 and adress the Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration with this proposal.

In turn, Valeriy Govorkov told the German side that Melitopol administration is ready to provide all the necessary consultations on Ukrainian legislation and doing business in Ukraine to all interested organizations and enterprises. Matthias Koch and Valeriy Govorkov discussed the possibility of establishing a partnership between Melitopol and one of the cities in Germany. The parties agreed to hold further consultations on this issue.

In conclusion, the Deputy Consul General of Germany proposed to  to open a branch of the "Goethe Language Center" at one of Melitopol universities. The parties agreed to continue the dialogue and implement the discussed projects .
