Melitopol museum will become a platform for public dialogue.

   Melitopol museum of local lore, with the support of strategic development department of the city became a member of the international program, under which it will create new exhibition and will be held European master classes.

Tandem program "Dialogue for Change" is implemented by a consortium of organizations "MitOst" (Germany) and "Ukrainian network of adult education and development of innovation" with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, the European Cultural Foundation (Netherlands) and Robert Bosch Foundation (Germany).

For participation in the program were selected 20 organizations from Ukraine and the EU among 120 applications from Ukrainian and European organizations. Applications that meet the following criteria: similarity of interests for potential partnerships; experience in international contests; organizational and personal motivation.

Representatives of selected organizations took part in the partnership forum in Lviv, including Melitopol museum.

Director of museum of local lore Leyla Ibragimova told about appearence of preliminary working groups of tripartite partnership, such as Museum of Melitopol - Kiev public organization of artists Open Place - Warsaw Museum of Modern Art.

Tandem program "Dialogue for Change" envisages further cooperation, in which representatives of Melitopol museum will meet with counterparts in Berlin, in Poland and at home.



Leyla Ibragimova said that the aim of the tripartite project, which is called At the heart of community is to establish a dialogue between art and society through the use of alternative methods in education and training, as well as the creation of a new model of cultural organization, that can effectively support social reforms.

Such an organization may be in Melitopol museum of local lore as a platform for dialogue on the basis of which the project partners will be able to realize their unique methods.

The project will conduct master classes with an active community of the city by Polish colleagues, as well as the opening of the exhibition of the stock collection of Melitopol city museum of local lore and discuss about relationship of historical memory and social conflicts. It is expected that these events will be attended by intellectuals from Europe, USA, Ukraine.

"We believe that the experience of Open Place, Melitopol museum and the Warsaw museum, in knowledge and establishing strategies for engaging with local communities will achieve a successful result and a strong partnership alliance", - said Leyla Ibragimova.
