Workshop was held in the framework of of the USAID. On the basis of Melitopol rehabilitation centre for disabled and children with disabilities was conducted professional workshop "Practice of Melitopol city Council and its Executive Commitee on the implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On rehabilitation of the disabled in Ukraine".

The event was held within the framework of the USAID Initiative to protect the rights and represent the interests of local self-government DIALOGUE.

Professional workshop participants were representatives of local authorities of the territories which are members of the Association of Ukrainian cities (AUC). Executive Director of Zaporizhzhya regional offices of AUC Igor Biryukov thanked the representatives of the municipal authorities of Melitopol for organizing the event and expressed confidence that the audience would gain valuable experience of interaction between local governments and rehabilitation center for the application of useful practices in their territories.

During the practical part of the event, the participants got acquainted with the work of the Centre in the framework of an integrated approach in the rehabilitation of people with disabilities. Also for all was organized psychological training "Subconscious mind and its possibilities".
