The first meetings of the thematic sub-working group on drafting "The plan of intercultural integration of Melitopol on 2015-2020 years." took place 31.03.2015 and 01.04.2015. Meetings in the format of world-caf? were held in Intercultural Museum "Calais", in Melitopol museum of local lore, in Melitopol State Pedagogical University, in the Palace of Culture by name of Shevchenko.

Members of the five thematic subgroups (Civil and intercultural awareness, education and cross-cultural communication, socio-economic, political, providing intercultural city development and intensification of social activities, culture: intercultural urban planning and construction of urban space, a welcome policy (for immigrants, refugees, displaced persons), cultural and spiritual practices; Interregional and international perspective, tourism and local history), which consisted of representatives of authorities, researchers of Melitopol State Pedagogical University, historians, activists, and representatives of national and cultural societies, religious denominations expressed his vision as for priorities of the Plan of intercultural integration.

Among the priority areas were identified dialogization intercultural relations, the consolidation of the political nation, the cooperation of local governments and the public as part of the citywide cultural activities and the realization of civil initiatives.

The next step will be the preparation of thematic groups operating goals and objectives of the Plan, which will form its basis.

The Working Group on the development of urban project model "Plan of intercultural integration of Melitopol on 2015-2020 years." Established in order to the mayor's writ, number 135-r dated 27.02.2015.

The participants prepare a working draft document, which will then be considered at a session of the Melitopol City Council.
