On Monday 13-th of April citizens of different nationalities for the tenth time celebrated the Resurrection Day "Easter in Intercultural Cities."
Easter - a family holiday, so an intecultural museum "Calais" gathered the whole family dynasties of different nations. Representatives of the Czech, Bulgarian, Karaite, Ukrainian-Belarusian, Ukrainian-Polish, Hebrew, Greek, German, Russian, Ukrainian societies in national clothes in turn told the guests about their tradition of celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, sang national songs, danced, played musical instruments. For the first time their society presented the Georgian community of Melitopol.
After the presentation, members of the national-cultural societies and guests tasted national dishes and shared recipes, told each other legends and traditions of their people. Intercultural Easter united Catholics and Orthodox, Russian and Ukrainians, Bulgarians, Georgians, Karaites, Greeks and Czechs.
At the end of the holiday Melitopols people began to play - on the rate they were painting Easter eggs, singing and dancing.
