Today Melitopol became a  home to more than a hundred nationalities, thus Melitopol proudly calls itself Intercultural capital of Ukraine. The city has active national-cultural associations that deal with national traditions, language, culture, cuisine and more. Therefore the European Museums Night in the Melitopol Museum of Local Lore was called Museum Ethno Fest. The event began in the evening on May 21, when hundreds of museums are opening their real and virtual doors to show the spectacular show and special events.

Museum Ethno Fest has become a combination of performances of creative artists representing  national-cultural associations that invited people to dance with them.  Also  the youth group �Misto-M� had performed cover-versions of hits.
