Foreign guests took part in the celebration

Representatives of sister-cities participated in the festivities on the occasion of the 232nd anniversary of the founding of Melitopol. On 24 September, the mayor of the district municipality K?dainiai (Lithuania) Saulis Grinkevi?ius, the Deputy of city Council of K?dainiai Ona Shultsiiene and Chairman of the public Council on cooperation with Bessarabia-Taurida Diaspora Sliven (Bulgaria), Ivan Ivanov visited the solemn opening of the IV chess tournament dedicated to the memory of honorary citizen of the city of Melitopol V. Tymoshenko and met with the Melitopol Mayor and his deputies in the Executive Committee, where discussed issues of cooperation. Also on this day took place the celebration of the Ukrainian-Bulgarian friendship in honor of the anniversary of the opening of the �Square of Sliven� in Melitopol.

On 25 September representatives of foreign municipalities visited the trade-industrial exhibition and fair in center of the city, met parade and congratulated the citizens on the main stage of Melitopol in Culture Palace named after T. G. Shevchenko.

On the same day, there was held a solemn opening of a football pitch, which was arranged in the framework of UEFA programme "the Hat-Trick".

In the evening guests attended the gala show at the main entrance to the Gorkii Park, where several thousands of people gathered to watch performances made by the Melitopol M-Misto, guests from Zaporozhye VIE Rodina, drummers Drum Light Show and famous singer Olga Polyakova. At the end of the show light confession of love for the hometown I love MLT soared into the sky, which was made up of balloons.
