There was created the Concept of small and medium enterprises development in Zaporizhia region. The project "Partnership for development" (PLEDDG), jointly with te Regional state administration created the Concept of small and medium enterprises development in Zaporizhia region for the period up to 2022. The document is based on the principles of development of small and medium enterprises, which are defined in the Act on small businesses for Europe, and generally supported by the business community and influential public organizations in the sphere of development of entrepreneurship in the region.

The Concept implementation will contribute to optimization of the institutional structure, the regulatory framework and the conditions of SMEs in the Zaporozhye region, improving SME access to Finance, development of entrepreneurship in the region, improving competitiveness, and deepening the internationalization of SMEs.

A draft Integrated program of development of small and medium entrepreneurship in 2017-2018 was developed for the practical implementation of the Concept by the Department of economic development and trade of the regional state administration with the participation of the business community and public organizations in the sphere of development of entrepreneurship of Zaporizhia region.
