With the support of DVV International. The project "Cooperation of libraries and museums of Melitopol as a resource for the development of adult education" is part of the interregional project "Replace walls with open windows" and is supported by the Institute for international cooperation of German Association of people's universities (DVV International ), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany and Public organizations of Information-research center "Integration and development" has been implemented in Kyiv since August, 2016, in partnership with the Scientific-methodical center of adult education of Melitopol state pedagogical university named after B. Khmelnytskiy.

The results of the Project were announced during a press conference on November 29. The target audience included 25 representatives of libraries and museums of Melitopol and Melitopol district. There were among the main areas of the educational program of the project and its practical part: introduction of new forms of work of cultural institutions according to the modern needs of society; increase of the civic competences of the activists of the local community and establish a dialogue between representatives of public organizations, authorities and media

Upon completion of the project there will be developed and disseminated a Handbook with recommendations for development of cultural and educational services and success stories of our librarians and museum workers, which confirms the status of Melitopol, as the learning city.

To support the most interesting in the opinion of the Project team initiatives of its participants, representatives of Melitopol City Museum and librarian of village Spasskoe were given gift certificates for the purchase of the necessary stationery, the Central city children's library "Malvina" received the flipchart, and all library workers of the Centralized library systems of the city and district in 2017 will receive a subscription to the professional journal "Library forum: history, theory and practice".
