CITY GOVERNMENT SIGNED AN AGREEMENT WITH NATUREWATCH FOUNDATION

2979 April 13, there was signed a cooperation agreement between city authorities and the Fund.

April 11, there was held the meeting of Mayor Deputy, representatives of the charity Fund "Everything is possible" and representatives of Naturewatch Foundation. They examined the place where it is planned to create a shelter for homeless animals. During the visit, the consultant B. Faulkner shared experience with the representatives of F Everything is possible of the territory organization and premises for the shelter, method of trapping the animals and the organization of related services, including veterinary and invited the representative of F to pass training in the UK. Charitable organization Everything is possible will do the sterilization, vaccination and maintenance of animals. Trapping will be done by the communal unit.

Brian Faulkner more than thirty years has been working with animals. During this time he participated in many projects in different countries of the world. According to him, the problem of stray animals was completely overcame only in Sweden and Finland. Naturewatch Foundation supports national governments, municipalities and NGOs in order to guide them to work together with a common purpose - to humanely control the population of stray animals. This includes not only work directly with homeless dogs, but also work with the source of the problem, legislation and public education.

 

 

With Naturewatch Foundation important steps in the implementation of this program in Melitopol were already made. Last year there were an educational program in all schools of the city, there was released information booklets on the humane treatment of animals and promotion of their registration, held thematic conferences, exhibitions, round tables, promotions.
