20-21 May, 2017, Melitopol delegation, which included Vice Mayor, Melitopol City Council Deputy and the Head of Ukrainian-Georgian society, visited traditional Gori International Forum  (Georgia)  under the theme "Fundraising Strategy". During the visit the Twinning agreement between abovementioned territories was signed.

 Now, there is being created Protocol of cooperation in the following spheres:
- the field of entrepreneurship;
- the field of infrastructure, environment and energy;
- experience of self-governments activities;
- cultural exchange;
- exchange of information;
- cooperation in the field of sports;
- cooperation in the field of education;
- meetings of youth and students;
- individual and organized tourism of residents of both municipalities;
- social guardianship.
